Merry Xmas to all who celebrate. What was the best gift you ever gave and why?
Hmmm, I guess the recipients would have to make the call. The one gift given that made me feel best? A couple of years ago we gave a neighborhood family that was struggling a surprise Santa-like gift drop. We picked out and wrapped gifts for all of the kids and the parents, and anonymously dropped them at their door late, late on Christmas eve. It's good to be a genuine Santa!

With the Christmas deadline coming up, do you have any tips to help us get our holiday shopping and cooking done on time? You seem to do such a great job of it, I thought maybe you could help us out.
Shop online for gifts. Get grocery shopping done at odd hours to avoid lines.
Cooking? Plan ahead and make a prioritized list. Then edit it down. Eliminate the maybes and time suckers if they don't fit in your timeline. No one will notice.
Oh, and finally, don't procrastinate. That's always the trick, eh?

Thought of the Day 2010 #231 - Lurve
It is funny how some things just *grab* me. I could look at a thousand fabric prints and 500 of them are *ok* and 500 are just uuuuuglllleee. All those options, but none say *lurve* to my personal aesthetic. This chair, however, said *lurve* the minute I saw it. The fabric just makes me happy. Ahhhhhh. So pretty. I had to have it. There was no option. That chair came home with me.

What's the craziest Christmas gift you've ever received?
Several years ago, I participated in a secret Santa thing at work. I received expired food. Thai sauce, cookies and tea...all well past the expiration date. A great gift selection for any holiday!

Right now, it's pretty decent for this time of year. When Minnesota goes into the deep freeze, as they will be later this week, the nicer it is here. We'll be in the 50s this weekend. Sorry!

Thought of the Day 2010 #231 - Cleanliness and CSI
*zoom in on the hair on the floor the body on the floor is visible in the background*
*CSI agent looks around the floor and spots THE hair, gets out his tweezers and evidence bag. He carefully places the hair in the bag and says, "I think I've got something.*
Yeah, typical CSI type scene on television. I have no idea if that sort of thing happens in real life, but it does make me wonder -- are murdered clean freaks more likely to have their killers found?
I was swiffering the floor in the living rooms today and found a lot of hair. I'm sure most of it is mine, but if someone were to kill me in my own house on a day where the floors were dirtier than this afternoon, would they even bother to go through the dustpan? When I had Kipper, hair was even more of an issue.
Oh, and let's say my body is missing, but the spray for possible blood patterns in the bathroom? I would think that they will find old blood patterns in there, but just from really bad period blotches that have been cleaned up but not with bleach, so still detectable. They would probably have me declared dead due to all of the blood and spend thousands of man hours searching for my body. All this while I'm off on a tropical island and *forgot* to tell anyone I was leaving.
Point to all of this? If you're going to get murdered, do so with a clean house. Its all in the planning, people! Do not be unprepared.
What gifts are you hoping to recieve for Christmas? And a follow up question: Were you 'naughty' or 'nice' this year?
Santa? Is that you?? Long time no hear! You and I both know that I'm not as into gifts as I used to be when I was a kid.
Oh, and I've been way too nice this year.

Describe the day you felt your sexiest? (what were you wearing etc.)
I had to think long and hard about this. It's been a while. I would say it starts with silky hair from a deep conditioning, and clothes that fit just right -- not too tight nor too loose...fitted and skimming. Combine that with some sort of personal/professional accomplishment and a random flirt from a stranger, you have a good sexy day.
With the winter holidays coming up, what's your favorite drink for New Years Eve / New Years Day? ( Egg Nog Excluded )
Excluding eggnog? Not fair! Probably soda. I'm not much of an alcohol fan. Never really liked the taste. I do like sparkling pear juice on NYE, too.
