Thought of the Day 2010 #205 - Movie Recommendations?

I need a good, thoughtful, indie movie recommendation. Anyone know of a recent goodie?

It's not recent but I would reccomend renting "500 Days of Summer". It is the best relationship movie I have seen in a long time. Harry

Oh, I loved that movie. I didn't have high expectations for it, but it sucked me in. The soundtrack is fabulous, too!

Tim Blake Nelson has just released his movie "Leaves of Grass". It has gotten uneven reviews but Tim (one of the convicts from "O Brother Where Art Thou?" is a Disiple of the Coen Brothers so if you like their movies you probably will like this. He is a home town boy (Tulsa, OK) so I am prejudice in his favor. The movies has twins (played by Ed Norton) 1 a professor @Brown and the other a Pot grower in SE Oklahoma having to inter-relate even thou there career paths are highly divergent. As w/any drug trade movie 1 brother is in danger and needs help from the reluctant straight brother. This movie has more humor then action. I hope you like it. Harry

'The Good, The Bad and The Weird'. It just came out on DVD a few weeks ago. It's a action adventure drama set in Manchuria in the early 1930's. It's gotten really good reviews and it doesn't require hard thinking to enjoy it. It's very loosely based on 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'.

Take Care,
Your Long Lost Brother,
