Thought of the Day #177 - Costumes

I'm trying to come up with a costume idea for the Vegas bash. It has to be from the movies...any movie. Any ideas out there that would work for me that wouldn't be too hot nor too complicated? I'm drawing blanks and coming up with mediocre ideas, i think. If you've got an idea, email it to me: cat@catay.com. Thanks!

Sorry, I posted under the wrong comment.

I know it is Vegas in the summer, but if you are indoors, how about Margo Tenenbaum from the Royal Tenenbaums? Plain single color dress, big fur coat, hidden cigarettes and that 1920's blond shear cut wig and a ton of mascara.

Or how about Melanie Daniels the main character from Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds". If you can find or sew a fairly plain skirt and suite from the 1960's and attach a few birds from a craft costume with red blotches on the spots by the birds heads, in cluding one on your head with small makeup gashes on your face. It would not be too warm and easy to pack.

Those are a couple ideas.

Black and White Silent Film Star: Wear black and white clothes. Paint all showing skin light gray or white with gray shading around eyes, mouth, nose, etc. Do not talk all night. Or, mouth the words without speaking and hold up signs when done “speaking” (just like how silent films show the scene then show the subtitles).
